THE NEW LIVE ALBUM!

The new Ukrainians live album, 'Live in Czeremcha' is out now and orderable 'from all good record shops' (distributed by Proper in the UK) or directly from us via our shop page

Recorded at the Spotkanie Folkowe Festival, Czeremcha, Poland, this album captures The Ukrainians in raw, punky, Respublika mode! Full-on zizzy guitars are to the fore in many songs, yet there are many moments of heart-rending delicacy. The packaging, too is remarkable - a gatefold, recycled card sleeve with a traditional-style embroidery on the front cover. Wow!

  • "...in especially fine form. The set is imbued with a verve and immediacy that energises this near-essential collection..." **** ROCK'N'REEL (Mar/Apr 2008)
  • "...a rousing live document, featuring two heroic cover versions. Excellent fun..." ***UNCUT (Mar 2008)

For tracklisting (19 tracks!) see the Live in Czeremcha page of this website.

This means that our CDs are now officially available for the first time in Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

In Ukraine our 'Respublika' album has been released on Kyiv-based UMKA records.  'Respublika'. The Ukrainian release does not include the enhanced web-pages, but instead contains two bonus tracks: the two tracks on the 4-track 'Anarchy in the UK' EP which do not appear on the non-Ukrainian releases ('Khay Zhyve'/'God Save The Queen' and 'Anarchy in the UK'/'Anarkhiya' (acoustic). The booklet with the Ukrainian release also contains lyrics to 5 of the songs on the album. For more information go to www.umka.com.ua
